Derek Pollard

With over twenty years of software development experience, Derek has been inspired by the success of the iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch devices and the freedom of the App Store. With his trusty office gerbils he designs and develops enhancements to Inkpad.

History

Inkpad was originally created by Steve Sprang in 2011, following on from his success with the art package Brushes. In 2013 he released it as Open Source with the intention of it being taken over as a community project. Unfortunately the Inkpad project went unmaintained for roughly 2 years and the app has now disappeared from the App Store, presumably due to the expiration of Steve's developer account.

With the disappearance of the Inkpad app I have decided to take over development because Lindsay and I use Inkpad and Lindsay wanted it enhanced for her iPad Pro - you can see some of her artwork in the app screenshots and samples. Inkpad is a paid app because I want to ensure the continued development and support of a product we and others enjoy so much.
